On July 18, 2018, Write On Sports interviewed cross country star Chelsea Foster. Chelsea Foster grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. She only started track because she wanted to do something social with her friends. She thought of it as a social activity. Soon the cross country coach at her high school told her she should do cross country. But she didn’t want to do it. She then was convinced to do cross country. She tried it out and then she fell in love with it. Chelsea wanted to go to college to do these two sports, but she couldn’t find one. Soon she saw a email. It was from Goshen College.
Chelsea went on to Goshen College and was the fastest girl on her team. Her mile time was 5 minutes and 30 seconds. When Write On Sports asked her what inspired her she said, “Runners inspire me, coaches, and athletes of different sports, for example Victor Oladipo.” Chelsea Foster also claims that God gave her the sign to go to Goshen College. Chelsea loves running, she has been running for three years. Her longest mile is 10 and a half miles. Chelsea has been a Maple Leaf of the Week, and she was Female Athlete of the Year last year. That is very impressive, isn’t it? She also got injured, but she didn’t give up.
Chelsea is a great runner and we expect big things from her this upcoming season. Hopefully she stays healthy for the rest of her career. Chelsea is a great athlete and a great person and Write On Sports is proud to interview her. This is Jeremiah Henderson from Write On Sports.
