On July 9, 2019, Write on Sports interviewed Kyle Hufford from FiveCoreMedia. Kyle stated that he has been working for FiveCoreMedia for 8 years! Kyle has a Master’s Degree and a Communication Degree from Ball State. That is so outstanding! Kyle Hufford mention that one his goals is to do live sports games on TV. Kyle Hufford mostly constructs segments or different videos for larger audiences.
Kyle Hufford says that baseball is the hardest sport to broadcast. It is hard to broadcast because you use so many cameras at different angles. He said that basketball or soccer are the easiest thing to broadcast. Kyle made clear that the Number one rule in live broadcasting is, if you screw up you have to keep going. Kyle explained that there are many hand gestures. For example fist means 10 seconds left. Kyle also, that you have to do a lot of research. Kyle confirmed that when you are in the broadcasting business you have a very busy schedule.
Kyle has made 8 documentaries. That is awesome! He says he usually produces one at the beginning of each semester. When you make a documentary it can take 1 person to make it. Interesting huh? Kyle has won 15 national awards with FiveCoreMedia and 25 state awards with them too. Kyle uses social media, radio, youtube, ,their website, and 91.1 the globe (the college radio station) to promote things. As you can see Hufford is a great guy and knows what he is doing.
