WNDU is a well known news station. Angelo Di Carlo is a sports anchor for WNDU. Di Carlo has been working there for 8 years.
Believe it or not Angelo Di Carlo has been working since the age of 16. His first job was a behind the scenes job that his brother got him. He was not a behind the scenes worker for all of his younger years. The first job that he got as a reporter was for his Junior year of high school in 2003. The first story he covered was for a person who died in Afghanistan. He covered the story for the funeral.
There have been many memorable stories that Di Carlo has covered. He had the chance to cover the RedBud motorcycle race. The Notre Dame national championship game was another one of Angelo Di Carlo’s most memorable events that he has covered. In 2010 Di Carlo went to the Giants versus Patriots Super Bowl game. He covered the Men’s Basketball NCAA March Madness game with Notre Dame versus Kentucky.
Angelo Di Carlo does not have a lot of free time, but when he does he likes to go to South Bend Cubs games, golfing with coworkers, or go on vacation. He only can go on vacation really in the spring and early summer. Di Carlo would want to be a lawyer if he was not a sports anchor. He was inspired by his brother to be a sports anchor. When he was younger and his brother was in college, Angelo Di Carlo would wake up early in the morning to read the sports section of the news to his brother, which got him interested. So now he is a sports anchor. If he were to play any sports he said he would play baseball. Di Carlo prefers talking and writing about sports because other stuff on the news can be scary and sad. Now he is a sports anchor, and really enjoys it.
