Bonzie Colson stated that he was “born to the game of basketball” because out of all the sports he did basketball was the only one he could succeed in.
Colson is now attending the University of Notre Dame as a sophomore. His father was coaching at Boston College so sports were big in his family. Colson’s basketball position is forward, but he is not in the starting five. Colson is already making a name for himself by helping lead his team to an ACC championship victory also, into the elite eight but their season ended with a devastating loss to Kentucky by two points. “I remember after the game against Kentucky I didn’t want to get off the court.” “After the game there was nothing anyone could say we just felt hurt for Jerian and Pat because they’re seniors.”
Colson hopes to follow into Pat and Jerian’s lead and up his game and be a leader. “It was great playing along with Pat and Jerian.” “This is the best group of guys I’ve played along with.” Colson hopes to take the roll of being a leader off and on the court and help other players become better and also up his game. This is a challenge for Colson. Can he do it?
