Tony Janzen’s middle school didn’t have a soccer team but that didn’t stop him from playing soccer. He started to play at the local YMCA because they had a soccer league going on at the time. He also played travel soccer for the Elkhart Flames,which is an all-star team for Elkhart. He has been playing travel soccer since he was eight.
Tony Janzen played soccer at Goshen College in the early 2000s. In 2006 his team qualified for the National Tournament in Daytona Beach,Florida. Sadly, they lost first round.”I think we spent more time on the bus, than we did in Daytona Beach,” Tony Janzen stated after telling Write on Sports about his tournament story.Tony’s class of 2008 set a Goshen College record of wins (55) over their 4 year period.
Tony Janzen finished his career professionally in Cambodia. His season started in July and ended in October. He played forward for Cambodia Mine Action Centre(C-MAC).”I feel like I did well,I helped my team to my best possible ability” Tony Janzen answered when Anthony Anderson (Elkhart Truth sports reporter) asked him how he felt about his team this last season.
