Jerron Jamerson says that enjoying the simplicities of life turned him into an aspiring pro basketball player.
Jamerson had graduated from Goshen College in 2014. Jamerson had admired Goshen College for it’s academic excellence and tradition. As Jamerson played and practiced basketball he had improved more and more. Next thing you know, Jamerson is offered to be signed for pro basketball in Australia. “It’s all about being diligent,” Jamerson said. During the summer, Jamerson was invited to play in a basketball league located in Las Vegas, and played on a team called the “Point Streak.” The basketball league in Las Vegas mainly focused on college basketball players who wanted to go pro. People from all different colleges and regions were invited to play in that summer basketball league.
Jamerson had said he had traveled a lot when he was younger, and it was always something he wanted to do. Australia is going to be a big trip for Jamerson, but he’s prepared. Jamerson would work out 2 or 3 times a day and spend time with his family before his next big step in his basketball career.
Jamerson had come back to Goshen after 2 years at a different college, just so his grandmother could see him play in some of his basketball games. So far, it is his second year overseas, and playing in pro basketball. After years of him appreciating the little things he had finally made his dream come true.
