“Just play baseball” that is what Cubs prospect Center Fielder Donnie Dewees said he would do if he gets called up to the majors. Playing for the South Bend Cubs Dewees is just waiting for that call up. In last night’s game (July 20 2016) He went 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and an rbi. Dewees is currently batting .281 has 8 home runs and 83 rbi’s. He said it will take a lot of talent to make it, but he will be ready for the challenge. Dewees has played the game of baseball since he was 4 or 5 years old. Dewees also said if he could play a different sport than baseball it would be “soccer” Dewees said he loves running around.
He said “David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez” were his favorite players growing up. Last night, Manny Ramirez hit 3 home runs (July 20, 2016). He said he loved it when the Red Soxs won the world series in 2004. He said watching the comeback in the American League Championship Series was amazing. It was a series for the ages. The Red Soxs came back to win the series from 3-1 in stunning fashion. Donnie Dewees is just waiting for the call. The call to the big show.
