Sam Grewe mentioned in Rio de Janeiro the “crime rates were high,” the city was really dangerous place to live. The crime rates in Rio were 89.58 and still the had to worry about the zika virus, sewer water and body’s washing up near the shore. The sewer water probably caused a few olympians to get sick and not participate in the olympics. It would be scary to go there and not know anything.
“It was a mess,” Grewe said that the Olympic villages were the safest place to be. He said that because the people that were in charge gave all the Olympians advice how it’s not safe to be outside of the village, at night or even the daytime because of the crime rate and how dangerous it is.
In the village it was safe for Grewe. Grewe and all the Olympians were provided with rice and dried chicken to eat. Outside of the village was a McDonald’s, Grewe was tempted to eat there but he needed to stay healthy for the Olympics. After the Olympics Grewe and his family stayed in Rio, Grewe and his family must have tried many foods there because Grewe said they had great food.
