Bob Toews is a stair racer that competes in many different races across the United States. In these races Toews and all the other racers help raise cause for many things such as lung cancer, heart attacks, viruses, diseises etc. Toews mentioned that he’s 47th overall in the United States and he’s 9th in his age group, “to be 47th and 9th means something, it means that he truly cares about the sport.
Toews started running the stairs in the 8th grade just to get in shape but now you see him as a stair racer ranked 47th in the country. When Toews first started running he’s had a goal so he would get motivated. “If you let your self down during training then you set a bad standard for you self,” which means don’t be down, stay happy and think positive.
Toews greatest stair racing achievement was his race at the US Bank building. That was his greatest achievement because of the time he received, the time was 13.25 minutes which made him an elite runner, to be an elite runner you needed to get a time under 14.00 minutes. People that inspired Toews were the elite runners he met.
