Today on July 18, 2018, Write On Sports and I interviewed Chelsea Foster. She runs Cross Country and Track for Goshen College. She did track because her friends were doing it and they convinced her. She is a junior in college for History Major. Foster recommends New Bounds or Adidas to run in.
She wanted a school that had good academics. Foster said, “I need a school that will give me money for my grades,” She knew that Goshen was the right school to go to. She started to run on a team here. Foster’s longest run is ten in a half miles. She has been running for two an a half years. Her favorite workout is running the eight hundred repeats. She also said, “It also depends on what shape your in.” Foster got injured during track and couldn’t run. She kept on begging her coach to run and he finally let her run. She tried to run the 5k but that didn’t exactly work out. Her first mile was fine, but then her pain kicked in and she just fell down on the ground. Her injury healed and she is still running.
Foster usually runs four to five miles a day during the seasons. She tried for the nationals and got fifth place, and she was the only girl in nine years. Her coaches helped her get faster and better. She likes people putting pressure on her. Foster gets inspired by other people in other sports. She thinks it is easier to manage time because she is used to it. Foster is still running and is very good at it.
