On July 10, 2018, Write on Sports interviewed two high jumpers and a broadcaster for Goshen College. Kyle Mishler, Simon Graber Miller, and Jason Samuel.
Simon Graber Miller practices to beat his new coach, Kyle Mishler, record of 6’8. So, Simon lifts weights in the winter and practices really hard to achieve his goal. Simon and Kyle practice four days a week from 30 to 45 minutes. Simon works on the spring board to allow him to stay in the air longer and it also helps for him to practice his form. Simon also practices his height by using a bungee cord. He starts weight training from December to May. Once spring hits they go outside and start practicing for the year.
Simon said that he is excited about beating his coach’s record and Mishler said “I am going to help Simon beat my record and I am happy about it.”
