While known as an Irish fiddler, Ivers and her group Eileen Ivers & Immigrant Soul offers listeners a diverse range of sounds, with African and Latin percussion and bass, Irish instrumentalists and American vocals. The Los Angeles Times said, "Ivers' presentation was music with the kind of life and spirit that come together when talented artists from different backgrounds find the linkages that connect all forms of music ... no wonder the audience loved every minute."
The band consists of Tommy McDonnell (vocals, percussion), Buddy Connolly (accordion, whistles, keyboards), Greg Anderson (guitar, bouzouki) and Leo Traversa (bass guitar).
Called "the Jimi Hendrix of the violin" by The New York Times, Ivers is known for putting on a show. She performed in the popular musical, "Riverdance," and has performed alongside the London Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops and The Chieftains, to name a few.
