There are four new GC commercials airing locally that feature three students – Rocio Diaz, Errick McCollum and Ashley Walker – as well as President Brenneman.The commercials were filmed in early September in Sauder Concert Hall with a “greenscreen,” so that graphics could be placed behind the students in the editing process.They feature letters from the students to celebrities – Michelle Obama, LeBron James and Peyton Manning – who are also making a difference in the world.The lighting, cameras, monitors surround Ashley.Though they had the assistance of a make-up artist and good lighting, the students in the ads aren’t actors and they wrote their own letters. Rocio adjusts her props and gets into position.In one of the commercials, President Brenneman calls prospective students to consider joining Goshen College in healing the world, peace by peace.
