Latino Scholarship Banquet
On Nov. 17, 2015, Goshen College held its first Latino Scholarship Dinner, a celebration of the leadership and accomplishments of GC’s Latino students.
Attendees celebrated with Mexican food, Rock Latino music by local group Lalo Cura, and speeches by GC students, leaders and business, community and government leaders, with the goal of raising $50,000 for scholarships. Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney Curtis Hill served as master of ceremonies, and there were speeches by Goshen College President James E. Brenneman, former State Rep. Rebecca Espinoza Kubacki and Isaac Torres, founder and president of InterCambio Express of Elkhart.
