57th Annual Concerto-Aria concert
Seven student winners of the 2017 Goshen College Concerto-Aria Competition performed arias and individual concerto movements with the Goshen College Symphony Orchestra in the 57th annual Concerto-Aria Concert on Saturday, Feb. 11.
Performing were:
- Anne Buckwalter, a sophomore music major from Wellman, Iowa: Clarinet Concerto in e minor, mvt. 1 by Weber.
- Roxy Gehring, a sophomore music and peace, justice and conflict studies major from Manhattan, Kansas: Viola Concerto in D major, mvt. 1 by Stamitz.
- Sadie Gustafson-Zook, a senior music major from Goshen, and Naomi Peters, a sophomore music and molecular biology/biochemistry major from Winnipeg, Manitoba: “Pie Jesu” by AL Webber.
- Julian Harnish, a junior music and mathematics major from Bluffton, Ohio: Piano Concerto in A Minor, mvt. 1 by Schumann.
- Galed Krisjayanta, a senior music major from Surakarta, Indonesia: “Vesti la giubba” by Leoncavallo.
- Morgan Short, a senior music and environmental science major from Goshen: “Elle et la! Pres de lui!” by A. Thomas.
