The 18th annual Goshen College Student Academic Symposium was hosted in Goshen College’s Church-Chapel on Saturday, April 2, 2016. The mission of the symposium is to acknowledge original undergraduate and graduate research that plays an essential role in Goshen’s academic program and to encourage students and faculty to contribute to the larger conversation about knowledge that sustains the academy. The symposium brings together students and faculty members involved in original research and scholarly activity from all disciplines. Besides thesis papers and investigations using the scientific method, presentations include expositions on the creative process and innovative techniques.
On March 12, 2016, student in the International Student Club provided a meal and performance to share and celebrate the food and culture of their home countries.
Five Goshen College students spoke about issues close to their hearts during the college’s 2016 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on March. 15.
Goshen College students, faculty and community members focused on the life of Martin Luther King Jr. through the theme “Trouble I’ve Seen: Naming the Nightmare; Re-imagining the Dream” during the campus’ MLK Day annual public celebration events Jan. 16-18, 2016.

Goshen College presented the 12th annual musical celebration of Christmas, “A Festival of Carols,” Dec. 4 - 6, 2015. This special celebration of the holiday season featured four choirs and an orchestra, along with audience participation on traditional carols, all in a concert hall festively decorated with garlands, lights and trees.
On Nov. 17, 2015, Goshen College held its first Latino Scholarship Dinner, a celebration of the leadership and accomplishments of GC’s Latino students.

Goshen College’s annual Homecoming Weekend took place Oct. 2-4, and included alumni awards, an alumni bicycle ride, Goshen’s First Friday activities, an alumni breakfast, book signings, a homecoming hymn sing, one act plays, art exhibits and a music gala.
