Goshen College studnets performed stories about friendship, sexuality, body image, trauma and triumph, written by women and nonbinary people, in the fifth annual Goshen Monologues on Saturday, April 7.
On April 7, 2018, students gathered in Schrock Plaza for a short vigil to come together in solidarity on behalf of voices that aren’t always heard and to anchor themselves in love, inclusivity and hope.
Admitted students gathered to get to know each other and GC better.
On Friday, March 23, 2018, The Latino Student Union hosted a Cultural Spotlight event centered around Mexico to highlight the beauty of the Mexican culture and the magnificent food that the country offers.
The GC community participated in the nationwide walkout on March 14 by gathering around the Peace Pole outside the Union Building to honor the lives of the 17 people killed at Stoneman Douglas. This included a time of prayer, music and reflection led by the Campus Ministries team.
On Feb. 21, 2018, students from Black Student Union presented a Black History Month convocation, with poetry, music and facts by and about people of color.
In a celebratory public ceremony around the theme of “Distinctively Goshen,” Dr. Rebecca J. Stoltzfus was inaugurated as Goshen College’s 18th president in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall on Feb. 17.

During an Ash Wednesday service on Feb. 14, 2018, President Stoltzfus delivered a personal faith statement and all were invited to receive ashes.
